Our Anaar Tablemat is handwoven or handmade using natural materials — Sabai grass, jute, water hyacinth, cotton, or a combination — by Indian artisans. Material type is specified in the product description.
Are these table mats heat-resistant?
Natural fibre table mats (jute, grass, cotton) can handle moderate heat (up to 80°C) but are not designed for very hot pots and pans. Use a trivet for direct hot cookware. They are ideal for dining plates, glasses, and everyday use.
How do I clean handwoven table mats?
Spot clean with a damp cloth for everyday use. For deeper cleaning, hand wash gently in cold water and air dry flat. Avoid machine washing grass or woven mats as it may unravel the weave. Cotton table mats are generally machine washable on a gentle cycle.
